Sep 20, 2024 1 min read Friday, September 20 2024 Calistoga celebrated Mexican Independence Day on Sunday, Sept. 15 (the first day of Latino Heritage Month) at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church on Washington Street. The annual celebration was a collaboration between the church and Calistoga’s Adelante group, with support from Casa de las Culturas. At the fiesta, hundreds of attendees enjoyed live music and dancing, food, family-friendly games, a raffle and a traditional costume contest. A member of the group Alex Borges Y Su Grupo Lealtad helped to get the crowd on its feet for a night of evening dancing and performances, and a young girl blows bubbles with friends.
