This week in the Tribune, we asked each of the three city council candidates — incumbents Irais Lopez-Ortega and Lisa Gift, and political newcomer Marion Villalba —  some questions about their plans should they be voted onto the council in the Nov. 5 election. 

Plus, read about some of the efforts Napa County’s elected leaders have made to best reach and engage the Spanish speaking community. In July, the county implemented use of artificial intelligence to translate Board of Supervisors meetings, but sources have noted several shortcomings in the AI software.
